Abstract
This collection of technical reports for the FASIMO (Farmer-led Smallholder Irrigation in Mozambique) project provides comprehensive analysis of irrigated agriculture in Mozambique with a focus on farmer-led irrigation development (FLID). The reports cover three main areas: 1) Remote sensing methodology to measure irrigated agriculture in Mozambique, detailing the technical approaches used to map irrigation patterns; 2) Area of irrigation in Mozambique and the importance of FLID, quantifying the extent of both formal and informal irrigation practices; and 3) The importance of farmer-led irrigation in Mozambique, analyzing the socioeconomic impacts and policy implications of supporting smallholder-driven irrigation initiatives.
